A LITTLE HISTORY

In 1964, a group of divers in Venice formed the Venice Grouper Snoopers. October 1965, the name changed to the Venice SCUBA Diving Club. October 17, 1967 we incorporated as a nonprofit. During those early years, meetings were held in the members' homes in both Sarasota and Venice. We became the Sarasota SCUBA Club, Inc. in 1995.

WHO WE ARE TODAY

We are underwater enthusiasts and family members enjoying our Florida Gulf Coast underwater environment. Together we get reduced prices for diving trips. This is driven by the efforts of our members. We encourage your membership, but it's not your dues we want, it's your personal involvement and friendship - those make the club work!
